Exciting New Physio Led Vinyasa Flow Yoga Class Starting 8th March at 6pm!!

We are bringing something really exciting and new to Blairgowrie Physiotherapy. We are starting a new Physio- Led Vinyasa Flow Yoga class on a Wednesday Evening at 6pm at our studio at 1 High Street Blairgowrie from 8th March 2022

Our new Chartered Physiotherapist, Enya Wade will be leading the class.

What is Vinyasa Flow Yoga and who is it for?

Vinyasa flow yoga is a style in which one posture transitions into the next while connecting each movement with the breath.
This class generates heat and creates a challenge but is for everybody at any level. You can expect to improve your strength, endurance and flexibility and reduce stress. Each class closes with deep relaxation.

What are the benefits of Physio Led Yoga?

Having a physiotherapist as your yoga teacher is beneficial in many ways. A physio has a comprehensive knowledge of the body and movement with a great understanding that each body and its anatomy is unique. This translates into yoga as your practice will look and feel different than anybody else’s. A physio can break down a yoga posture and offer modifications which will benefit your specific alignment and/or injuries. While keeping up to date with the scientific research, a physio will pay attention to particular muscles and locations of the body but also as a yoga teacher look at the body as a whole. This holistic approach aims to connect the physical body, the mind and the spirit.
